Additionally, regulatory imperatives to ensure patient safety and continued emphasis on cost-effective care demand a systematic approach to the care of hospitalized older adults.
NICHE, the only national nursing program designed to improve the care of older adult patients, has been implemented by over 270 hospitals. Upon implementation of NICHE, hospitals report:
