NICHE Recommitment Process

The NICHE survey is a requirement for the NICHE recommitment process and provides ongoing registration as a NICHE site for a two year term. We have implemented this process in order to nurture and sustain NICHE’s geriatric nursing initiatives. Recommitment also provides the Institute with the opportunity to acknowledge a hospital’s accomplishments on a national level, and to secure information necessary to conduct internal evaluation and planning.

If multiple hospitals in your system are NICHE hospitals, a survey needs to be completed for each site. The results of this survey will be used to help build a profile for your hospital on this website. The website will provide each hospital with its own page which will contain a photo of your hospital or the NICHE coordinator/team, a brief description of your NICHE accomplishments and a few items from this profile.*

With the exception of the items to be shared on the website, the information obtained in the survey will be used only in the aggregate to describe NICHE sites. Thus, your individual responses to the questions will remain confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside the NICHE staff.

In addition to completing the survey, we ask that you please send us a photo of your hospital and a link to your hospital website for use on NICHE’s website. In exchange for your help with this survey, each hospital will receive its own featured page on the NICHE website, a report of the aggregate data, and a NICHE banner for display in your hospital. Completing this survey will also serve as recommitment to NICHE through 2010.

When we receive your completed survey and photo, we will:

• enter your updated email addresses as members of the listserv,
• send you a banner for the commitment period 2008-2010,
• create your hospital profile on the NICHE website, and
• send you log in directions for entering the 'members only" section of the NICHE website
